I scanned some pics and when I transferred them onto the memory card they come up as files and nots pics so I obviously need to change them to something that the card will read, How can I do this for a bulk load of pics? so that I can transfer onto the SD card?

Pictures are files!

Change the options on the view menu to either thumbnails or filmstrip when your viewing the files on the memory stick

Basically I need to change them from bitmap format to jpg.
Easiest way is to open up MS Paint, click on File, then Save As...., and change the file type to jpeg.
also when scanning in future make sure you set your scanning software to save as a JPEG so you haven't got to change it afterward..
paint reduces the quality when changing an existing pic to jpeg. i reccoment photoshop
same stuff just open and save as .JPEG
