Whenever my daughter has been on a hospital ward they do a urine test. Does anyone know what they're testing for and if a baby were diabetic, would it show up on one of these urine test?

TIA

They will be testing for the presence of protein, blood, glucose, ketones, leukocytes, nitrites and density. In English this means they can check for infection, diabetes, dehydration, bleeding etc. Don't worry about it. It's very routine.

ah thanks for that foodluva, I was just checking because she has a condition often caused by diabetes and I was just wondering if they were going to check for that but it looks like they prob already have!
Trust me - they will definitely have tested for it.

And you are welcome :-)
