Recording from Sky+ to DVD

I've tried to do this but keep getting a message that the DVD isn't formatted. I press the OK button to format but nothing happens. I have a Panasonic TV and DVD, do I need to use Panasonic DVDs? My Sky+ memory is almost full. Your help is appreciated.

Put your DVD disk into the recorder wait for it to be read then press setup & select format.Hope this solves your problem.I always use DVDRW (+ or -) then if there are problems, I can delete & then record again. I then transfer anything I wish to keep to DVDR (+ or -)Ron.
