i bought my wife a silver plated locket off ebay, when it arrived it wasn't a silver plated locket it was a real silver antique one and i've had it checked by a local dealer and he says its worth considerably more than i paid for it.

should i tell the person i bought it from or is it their own fault

Roulette is more luck.

Blackjack involves making decisions based on the odds. If the cards are against you, you will still lose. But if the cards are neutral, you will win if you make the right decisions.

The reason most people lose, is because they get too hung up on getting close to 21. You are not playing to get close to 21 ... you are playing to be higher than the Dealer, without busting. The trick is knowing when to Stand with a low number, if the Dealer is statistically likely to Bust.

Lets take a scenario:~
You inform the Ebay Seller what you have found out.
They request you return the locket,you do so.,
They refund you purchase price and any postage.
You see the locket sell (ten days later) on EBay for quite a high sum (well a LOT more than you paid for it).
Does the EBay Seller forward you a "cut" of the selling price(for being so honest with them).
Do they hell.
I say (like a lot of others)
Keep it and regard it as a bit of luck.
As there are many Antique programmes on TV, the seller should have been aware of just what they had (hallmarks etc).
I wouldn't feel guilty for one moment.
