iPod shuffle

I just got a shuffle and it's driving me mad. When I have it on shuffle it just seems to play the same group of songs all the time. Anyone elses do this and how can I stop it.

Yes - I have exactly the same problem but unfortunately I don't know how to stop it.

If I download new songs then to ensure they get some play I give them a high rating and select the option in itunes to play songs with a higher rating more.
