Are the Israelis a bunch of Neo-Nazis?
39 Answers
Israel thinks it can treat all the Arabs the same way that the Nazis treated the Jews. They're still on a mission to make someone pay for what happened to the Jews in WW2. I've absolutely no doubt that if they thought they could get away with it, they would wipe all the Arab nations from the map - much the same as the Nazis wanted rid of all the Jews. It's about time all the Arab nations formed an alliance in order to guard against
Neo-Nazi Israel.
Neo-Nazi Israel.

jno .... I did not state that any killing was automatically "genocide". "Genocide" = "the deliberate killing of a very large number of people from a particular ethnic group or nation". Ask the Palestinians if they feel that they fall within this category. If you want to add a few more examples, I suppose you could add Hiroshima or Nagasaki etc etc.
Haggisdj .... we could go back hundreds of years, of course, which might even make our own positions precarious. Let's forget the Crusades or we may be paying war reparations in the same region.

Cugetit, the UN defines genocide as
any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life, calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; [and] forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.
I don't believe there's any attempt to destroy the Palestinians here. The attacks are on Hamas. They don't seem much concerned that innocent Palestinians are dying; but that doesn't mean they're trying to kill them. From their point of view it's self-defence. From mine, it's massive and murderous overreaction. But I don't think for a moment it's genocide. (Neither was Hiroshima; there wasn't any attempt to wipe out the Japanese race.)

Sorry, jno, but I it not just Hamas the Israelis have been bent on destroying. I don't know about you but I have been following events in that area for many, many years and actually spent several years there. Israel has been pressurising the Palestinians, compressing them into smaller and smaller enclaves ..... ghettoes .... not just Gaza and I for one feel the Palestinians have every right to do all within their power in an attempt to regain their land. The Israelis (the Middle Eastern arm of the USA) have literally got away with murder for many years, riding on the skirts of the "holocaust".
Cugetit, if you want to get into semantics, Palestine belonged to the 'now' Palestinians by right of conquest, but i'm not saying eithe side is right or wrong in this conflict, but do you think the Jews should have a Homeland, and if so, where?.
And don't forget, Hamas is firing its rockets from domestic areas, so if civilians are killed, i'd say its their fault, but its what they want, world opinion etc.
Bur its okay to give your opinion from what you get from the media, if you want an accurate picture, go and live in Israel for six months.
jno, I understand what your saying, but as i've said above, its disproportionate, because Hamas always launches its attacks from civilian areas, so, because of this, if Israel feels it has to retaliate, my question still stands,

Lonnie, of course the Palestinians are doing their fighting, if you could classify it as that, from civilian areas. That is because they have no military areas ......... airfields, tank sites, barracks, etc. You mention "homeland". Where is the "homeland" for all the other religions. Why cannot the Jews be satisfied with being a Russian, Pole, German, etc etc like the rest of us?
you're not blaming the victims?
The short answer is because they were moneylenders in the middle ages, and debtors didn't much like them (as in Shakespeare, for instance). The reason they were in the trade was because Christians were forbidden to do it, so Jews took up the slack. They were also blamed for crucifying Jesus and became the subject of various religious-based libels including the sacrificing of Christian children. Authorities happily joined in the various pogroms because kings and courts all owed them money and it was easier to expel Jews than repay them.

The whole saga of the Palestinians and the Jews goes back to biblical times, but these days, it's more to do with which land belongs to who. The Palestinians believe that the Gazza Strip belongs to them, and the Jews who've settled there believe it's theirs. Israel isn't Neo-Nazi, but both sides can be as bad as each other. What's happened recently is just another tragic episode in what's been tit-for-tat tactics. Correct me if I'm wrong, but more's the pity that so-called "civilised" people can't all just live peacefully together. It's sadly always the innocent who suffer.

The United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine or United Nations General Assembly Resolution 181 was a plan approved by the General Assembly on November 29, 1947[1] to terminate the British Mandate of Palestine by August 1, 1948, and facilitate the creation of two states, one Jewish and one Arab. The plan was approved by a vote of 33 to 13, with 10 abstentions
terambulan "They better get with the 21st c or suffer". Remember, it isn't over until the fat lady sings !!! I hope the Israelis get their come uppance. They have been getting away with murder in the shadow of the "holocaust" for many years.
Suggest that "The Holocaust Industry" by Prof Norman Finkelstein (American Jew) would make good reading for some on here.

jno, i'd like to second linda's view on the way your posting, you should be commended, unfortunately, I have a lot of close family in Israel. so I can't be that fair.
Cugetit, you obviously don't know the layout of Palestine, Hamas do not need to lauch rockets from Civilian areas, they do for Political gains, and as a point, do you know Jewish history in the Diaspora, if you did, you wouldn't ask that question.

Lonnie, it went without saying that you have family in Israel and I have no desire to delve too deeply into Jewish history because that part of it within my lifetime has been sufficient for me to form an opinion. I have first hand knowledge of Palestine and it is absolute cr@p to claim that Palestinians are deliberately firing rockets from civilian areas. You people make me laugh. It was the same with the invasion of Iraq and the claims that these "cowards" are hiding among the civilian population. It is akin to the Red Indian & US settlers .... bows & arrows against repeater rifles. When one takes into account the armaments in Israel ....... tanks, sophisticated aircraft, laser guided weaponry, ships ... like the one that "accidentally" rammed a vessel loaded with humanitarian supplies today. Do you expect the Palestinians to set up a barracks? Why not insist that they place a large bulls eye in the centre!! Anyway, there is obviously a certain amount of intransigence on this thread, particularly on my part, so this is going nowhere but let us see what happens.
