Having weened the dog off sleeping in the marital bed, I have developed the habit of occasionally sleeping in hers. This annoys both my wife and the dog (who wakes the wife to get her to get me to shift). Hygiene aside where does this activity stand with the 'pack leader' side of things?
I have to question why you'd rather be in the dogs bed than in bed with your wife, I'm sure she's thrilled by that notion! As far as pack leader goes, have been told if the dog tries to sit on your feet then he see's himself as pack leader. How sleepin in it's bed affects that, who knows! But you need help!
I think 'friggin weirdo' is a but strong but you are probably a C@@@ anyway. I only end up there when I've had a bit to drink (who drinks over Christmas, eh?) and if I can't sleep. Our bed is massive so the wife only notices when the dog starts whining. This starts the process of waking me up and getting me back into bed, then getting the dog back into her bed and wrapped up in her duvet.
The dogs bed is x-large and supplemented by a king size duvet. I suppose it beats waking up with the dogs head next to mine on my pillow and she no longer tries to sneak on ours anymore. But does sleeping on the same level demote me to her level or is this negated by taking up her bedspace?
What's wrong with sleeping on the settee? NO ONE'D sleep in a dog's bed - and your dog'd be better off out of YOUR bed. It's unhygienic, and lets the dog think it can rule you.
Right,
no.knowledge you are definately a c@@@. Alas, that will soon be a new canine addition to the family so there won't be room for the big guy in the dog's bed any more. looking forward to weeks of clearing poo up again.
