freckle
7 Answers
i woke up this morning to find a freckle on my stomach that i have never noticed before. it doesn't hurt, is a mid-brown colour but is slightly raised. it doesn't bother me apart from the fact i can't recall ever seeing it before. is it normal to continue developing moles/freckles in your early 20s?

New ones appear from time to time - you seem to get more as you get older. My Father is similar.
I've never had any problems with any of mine but feel a bit concerned occasionally and so every so often when I am seeing the GP about something else I ask her/him to have a look over them to put my mind at rest.
It is important to seek help if moles/freckles change shape and/or colour, grow or bleed.
