Bitch in season - how long

My collie x bitch has been in season for three weeks. It is her first season and there is no sign of it stopping! I was told that seasons last approx 3 weeks, but she is still bleeding and swollen. Has anyone had a bitch who's season lasts more than 3 weeks? Thanks.

at the moment I wouldn't worry too much - even though 'a season' is usually quoted as being around three weeks, many bitches stay in longer. Obviously is anything seems really abnormal you'll have to think again but at the moment, I wouldn't worry. Go well and keep us posted on her progress
