Rome total war - unspecified error!

I've got Rome, Total war. It worked fine before i had to reformat my pc. Now even after reinstalling & uninstalling it several times, it keeps saying 'Rome Total War encountered an unspecified error & will now close' Does anyone have any idea how to sort it out please? Thanks.

If you've re-installed Windows, you will also need to re-install the motherboard drivers and drivers for all your other devices (sound card, video adaptor, etc).
