I want to install AVG-the free version....yet towards the end of downloading,I get told that I SHOULD remove all other security programs. Is this really necessary....I have expired Norton Anti-virus that was already installed, and a trial of Stopzilla.
I have newly installed Ad-Aware.

yes you should remove norton definitely! use the norton removal tool below as it doesn't uninstall properly otherwise

stopzilla and adaware are both anti spyware, not anti virus so they can stay

they got it out of there systems and calmed the hormone level down earlier I think :)
