Whats the likley sentence for ABH against a minor. No sign of injury. Mother asked defendant for help with violent child. Defendant pulled victims hair and slapped back of head.

Unlikely to be charged as ABH if there is no sign of injury, more likely as common assault which carries a max of 6 months.

However, the def will (if convicted) become a "scheduled offender", which basically means that with a conviction against a minor, it will show up on any CRB check and make working with children extremely difficult.
