Puddicat - I work in IT Training. I am waiting for the government pull its finger out and decide on incentives for creating Jobs because I want to employ 2 new staff.

Thats all we can do puddicat,keep pur fingers crossed. Two of their plants have already shut down and now they've got rid of all the contracters in my OH's works. Nowt we can do is there?

Squitty not a scoobie, we had over 200 people at one of are open days, we are partly funded by the government and other sources!!!

I have just started working for a charity-my job is funded by the National Lottery Fund...so I suppose I am safe as long as you guys buy your tickets!

my husband has lost his he had 6 weeks work before xmas with an agency but nothing since

ruthann, our next door neighbour lost his job just before Xmas as well. He applied for a job on the cranes yesterday there was 500 applicants for that one job!

hmm well i think my job is kinda secured although they cut our hours and can no longer do over time. Then again this is a Temp job so never know whats going to happen, i've been looking for a permanent job, but its been really hard.

Hi Puddi,

On my return to work after xmas, we were all gathered for a meeting where we were told that they will making some of us redundant, department by department.
The date for my department is next year 2010.

I reckon I will be first out the door, when they see how much time I spend on here in the day time!!!!
