I don't like many of the books that have won the Booker Prize either.
And I wasn't in the least bit impressed by Titanic when I saw it in the cinema despite it winning numerous Oscars
Early Doors is a classic! Having worked in a working class pub on the early shift, I can see where Craig Cash got the characters from.
Quite like Lead Balloon as well.
I read Schindler's Ark (not list - Americans take note) on back on the back of the Booker award and it remains one of my favourite books, but yep, there have been some shockers.
Incidentally, has anybody ever read The Satanic Verses? I have, and I was none the wiser by the final page. He may as well have written it in Swahili!!
I gave up watching Green Grass after thr first episone, likewise Life of Riley. I think both would have been watchable if it weren`t for that stupid CANNED LAUGHTER!
surely Up the Elephant and round the castle with Jim davidson and In loving memory deserve a mention both very poor plus Brighton belles or whatever it was called the english version of golden girls???
dont know life of Riley but Green Green Grass is dreadful
