Tabs and new windows?

Sometimes my laptop seems to crash a bit when i have got a few windows open at the bottom of my screen,in order to sort this problem out i need to restart my laptop as i cannot delete the windows as they are just flashing with the orange light,anyone know any easier way of deleting these windows without having to restart all the time? cheers

How much RAM do you have, and what version of Windows? Vista?

To close the windows, press ctrl+alt+delete.

In the window that pops up, choose the programs that are causing hassle, and click 'end process'.

(I assume it's the same for Vista as on XP/2000/etc.)
