Is Christian Bale The Nastiest Film Star Ever?
You might have read about this in the papers this morning. This is Christian Bale going absolutely mental at the Director of Photography, Shane Hurlbut after he walked behind a camera to adjust a light on the set of Terminator Salvation.
What Christian didn't know is that the audio was still running. This was recorded a few days after Bale was arrested for allegedly beating up his sister and mother.
Nice man.
If you're at work, you absolutely need headphones to listen to this - he swears 35 times:

Is this the worst example of a celebrity meltdown? Russell Crowe chucking a telephone at a concierge and Naomi Campbell's numberous freak-outs seem pale by comparison.

It's not uncommon though with actors. Bale's talent is nigh-on indisuputable (at least to anyone whose seen The Machinist and/or Rescue Dawn), and there are countless examples of great actors in the past with hideous tempers.

in fairness, though his tirade may merit a piece in the Hall of Fame on the AB News section, it was professionally based, about a specific piece of behaviour. I am in no position to say whether he was in the right or not.
I don't think it compares with this classic of film-making conflict:
