re installing programs

I have just had a massive infection on my computer causing the loss of much data. The problem has been fixed but I am unable to restore certain programs from disc because I have not retained the serial number. Is there any way round this problem.

If you've registered the software, the program-makers might send you the serial numbers to the email address you registered with them.

Or you could try looking through the alphabetical software listings here:
http://www.disabilityuk.com/software/serials/f ast/index.html

Or you could ask a friend, who uses the same piece of software, if he's got a serial number you can use.
