It was Twilight Zone or something like it. I don't remember the beginning, but it turned out that 2 guys were torturing each other. One guy was in a house by himself & the other was unseen, but could be heard tormenting the 1 in the house. The tormentor sent a creature after the guy (in the house), which left a slime trail. This creature crawled into the guy's ear & ate thru his brain to exit the other ear. The tormentor said, after the poor guy lived thru this painful experience, "It was a female & she laid eggs", leaving the guy in perpertual hell. PLEASE can someone help me? This is driving me nuts...I'm beginning to believe I dreamed it!!??!!

I'm not sure but I think it was The Outer Limits.
No, it was Rod Serling's Night Gallery, a sort of sequel to The Twilight Zone.  The segment The Caterpillar was probably the scariest story they ever did.  I believe it was set in Malaya.  It starred Laurence Harvey as Steven Macy, a colonel who wanted to murder somebody by a local method, the dropping of an earwig into his victim's ear. An earwig can't turn around, so will burrow through the victim's ear passages until it eats through the brain. The resulting irritation apparently leads people to tear their own faces off, killing themselves in the process. When the murderer Macy hires to do the job puts it in the wrong ear by mistake - Macy's - it turns out that the only way to avoid the agony of the earwig is to be tied to a chair and put up with it until it stops. It's after the earwig tunnels through coming out the other side, that the doctor gives Macy the good news and the bad news... Superb.

I could not have told you the name of the programme but I remember the episode.  It must have been about the mid 60s.  The plot still comes into my head occasionally
