"In America they're known as a fanny belt"

"I've been begging him for months to file down my incisors ...and fill my cavity"

Corrie: The best quotes ever come from Norris, Blanche & Deirdre. These are my favourite ones this week. Does anyone find this boring - if so, please tell me and I won't stop anyway....

Wasn't it quite sweet this week when he had to spurn Mary's advances; making out he only wanted to be friends. I think he's scared - it's been so long since he's "had relations", he's probably turned into a virgin again.
I think his fear is something to do with the age gap, as he keeps asking people if they would be bothered about dating someone much older than themselves and also she keeps saying she is not that young.
Question Author
She's not as young as she first appears... I hope the scriptwriters develop their relationship.

Here's another one for you - this time from Julie, factory girl (about Jason) :
"In Pennyslvania he'd be an Amish hunk ......whittling his wood..."
I liked the misinterpretation that Drearie had thought that Ken had bought the kimono for her, and then her amazement when he said he had bought it for himself.......lol.
What the bl00dy hell are you both talking about?

Morning daniela.
STOP PRESS.......Mrs sqad think Norris is a complex character, he is scared of a relationship, but something will develop.

Ken Barlow is going to have an affair with Martha.

Does this make sense to you????LOL
Ken may have had an affair with Martha if the actor who plays him hadn't had to take bereavement leave.

And don't lets forget Roy. Especially the double act that is Roy and Becky - brilliant one-liners.

I shall make it my mission every week now to inform any interested parties of the, in my opinion, Witticism of the Week, whether it be Norris, Roy, Blanche etc.

Does that make me sad? Probably, but I don't care & I'm sure some of you will read them & titter.
One of Norris's early quotes has been made part of my company's training pack after I uses it at a regional meeting, noone had any idea where I got it from and that was about 4 years ago, I have used it on here in the past too:
He was referring to his job in the Cabin:
'We're at the cutting edge of the modern retail interface'
The character takes his role in the shop so seriously which actually is how we are in the real world of professional retail.
So soz Norris and your script writers but it was a great line and I pinched it!
Long may Corrie live!

Oh and I know Bill Roache is off work because his wife died suddenly, but the filming is a few months ahead and so there will be quite alot in the can about his potential affair developing, I would think it will be May before we see a short absence from our screens, he is a prfessional and no douvt he will be back at work quite quickly, though that will be up to him I guess.
I too think he will be back quite quickly. The cast must be like a second family to him and will help him greatly. Yes, he is a true professional.
