I'd like advice on roasting carrots and parsnips together i.e. do they take the same time to cook, do I need to parboil them etc. Am hoping to do this for dinner tonight along with venison steaks, roast potatoes, steam/fried cabbage and red wine gravy - does that sound OK or too much on the one plate? Any advice or ideas would be gratefully received. Thank in advance Fran b.

Sounds just marvellous to me too.
I roast parsnips and carrots together for the same time and they come out fine. If you parboil them, you can roast them for a shorter time, so it depends on your timings and oven space.
Yum yum!
