I have fibromyalgia & some arthritis, & I too, have terrible problems with Cocodamol. I had no choice but to take some recently & suffered with stomach pain for a fortnight. Thanks for posting that link shaney, yes, it is interesting. Last week I stood gazing at the shelves full of various remedies & supplements desperately looking for one that said 'miracles guaranteed'....I didn't spot one & left empty handed. :o) After reading that I don't think I'll bother although I am seriously contemplating hypnotherapy for pain management, I get so low with it sometimes. I might start a new thread about it later.

I can't take anything with codeine in. It makes me hallucinate, even at fairly low doses.
At the moment I am not taking any anti inflammatory drugs because of stomach problems and trying to rely on taking paracetamol just at night. It is the night-time pain that is worse for me. I'm OK if I keep moving. I sometimes feel really sleep deprived.
I am the same age as you West Ham fan. I have had arthritic problems since my teens.

Having found glucosamine a partial help., I was recommended MSM and it had made a real difference in a few weeks. Twice I have run out and found within 2 or 3 days that my hand was seizing up again etc - I won't be running out again. Having twice proved it works for me, I can suggest you give it a try. Good luck
