Help!! Can you guys suggest some good ideas for an assembly for 16-18 year olds done by my form/tutor base for school please. It should be funny and entertaining and possibly have a moral. Can be about anything (within reason). Cheers

When I was 15 my head of year played us an episode of Red Dwarf in assembly, called Parallel Universe. In the episode, the crew travel to a universe where attitudes to men and women are reversed and one of the men (Lister) ends up getting pregnant. It has a moral message and also gave us all a good laugh. Don't know if this is what you see as suitable (16-18 year olds should have got the message a hundred times about sexual equality) but maybe this could give you some ideas.
In an assembly of ours the speaker told us a true story about her friend. It was about the time her friend, (who is about 80 now,) was at her boarding school. She was riding her horse with a friend along a costal path when she saw a family having a picnic. There were two girls there and upon seeing the horses grabbed some food and went to feed them. Her friend, who was quite snooty, started showing off abit and when the girls came to feed the horse she said, 'Oh, no don't he isn't very good with strangers.' The woman came and took them away from the horses and it was only when she got back that she realised it had been the Queen and Princess Anne with George and Elizabeth! I thought it was funny and moralistic....
My son did the poem ' If ' by Kipling its quite corny but it does go on and its a bit stirring
