i have a 51 plate focus 1.4, couple of weeks ago it died my diagnose was alternater, so changed alternater and new battery for good measure, 2 miles later battery light back on, i have been told that the ecu is at fault can any body help.thanks in advance

The only thing I can suggest on this is to get the ECU checked willsy you may have spent money unnecessary, have you checked ALL the connections?
In reality ECU faults are quite rare, unfortunately its an easy thing to point the blame at when all the easy options have been tried.
The only way to be 100% is to get it checked out by someone who knows what they are doing on a diagnostic kit and check the fault codes.
Dont be tempted to get a seconhand one, its not that easy as the original one is coded to your PATS keys.
