Looking for author or book title

Sorry I don't have more to go on. I am looking for book (probably for Nora Roberts and other romance fans). The only thing remembered about book is a young girl who is prejudiced against rich people befriends a man who she thinks works for a rich man, when in actuality, he is the rich man pretending to be his butler for her benefit. She brings him soup when she thinks he is sick. I believe the writer wrote books to follow that may be linked. I thought it would be one of the McGregor grooms by Nora Roberts, but it was not.
