DT Codeword

Has anyone else noticed that on two days, today and I think Thursday, not all the letters of the alphabet have been used. I thought there might be an apology on Friday, but there was none. Today, again, there are 6 letters missing, but the codeword is completed without them. I have not known this before and I have been doing the codeword for some time now.

Yes wolshouse, I noticed too. I have also been doing codewords in different papers for countless years (I know, get a life!!!) and have never come across this before. Couple this with a recent Monday Herculis puzzle clue asking for the second largest state in the USA and the answer being given as Los Angeles ????..... God forgive but I'm loosing faith in the Telegraph!! Time for a change perhaps..... my son tells me the Times is quite good!
