My nominations so far (it is early days for me, after all):

Mr Veritas - with my brainbox head on.

No Mercy - in my best bib and tucker, but armed with a sabre for self defence.

Dot Hawkes - with a bullet proof vest, hard hat, and Kevlar suit.

You can bet on anything for which the betting shop can give you a price.

(I always suggest telling them the day before you're going to place the bet, so they can find some odds)

I've been choosing the teams based on ...

... recent results in all matches

... League position

... home advantage

... recent record against the specific opponents

... availability of first choice squad players

... and so on.

And if you watch the Superleague matches on Sky Extra, you just get a hunch that a particular team are "on a roll" ... that sort of thing.
