parecetomol and ibruprofen are two that can be bought over the counter at the chemist

Ibuprofen
Diclofenac
Paracetamol
Codeine.

The firs two are particulaly effective for joint paid NSAIDs........non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs.

Paracetemol and ibuprofen are the most common. If you need something foe a specific pain ask your pharmacist.

If you are unable to tolerate aspirin be careful with ibuprofen and diclofenac .

Check whatever you buy by a pharmacist who should be able to tell you which are suitable for you.
