THere is no way round this so if you are older than this then if you wanted to work in Australia then you would have to go through the same routes as someone looking to emigrate, which is probably not what you are looking for.
Otherwise you just have to get a standard tourist visa, the most usual one allows you to stay up to 3 months stay or there are also ones for up to 6 or 12 months.
