I am feeling so down lately
4 Answers
Hi all
Not sure if this is in the right place.
I had a miscarriage back in January and I would have been 15 weeks today.
I have been so so angry and crying a lot today and I have been taking it out on my partner. I feel I can't talk to anyone and just needed to write this down.
My friend is pregnant at almost 15 weeks and my sister is about 10 weeks. Every time I think about this and seeing babies and pregnant people, I just feel so angry and depressed.
I don't want to feel like this.
When will I get over this?

Hi natalie.
I've been through this twice and had a full term stillbirth, so you have my deepest sympathy for what you are going through.
It might not seem like it now, but it's true when they say that time is a great healer. I still have a private weep on what would have been the birthdays of my babies, but time does lessen the raw grief.
What surprised me was the number of women I knew who had been through the same thing. Talking with someone who has been through the same experience really does help. Wherever you live, there will be a Miscarriage Support Line/Group - ask your GP or practice nurse.
I planted a tree for each of my babies and it does my heart good to see them growing tall and strong.
Grief is like standing on a beach with your back to the sea - you never know when a wave will wash over you.
Talk to someone, and don't make the mistake I did of shutting your partner out.
You will never forget your loss, but it will get easier. xx
