Some basic ones are: Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
What is it that attracts you to this role
Where do you see yourself in x amount of time (to see if they have ambition, a well thought out plan and whether they want to stay as long as you'd like them to)
Can you give me an example of when you've been part of a team / used your initiative / dealt with a difficult situation etc etc depending on the sort of situations that could arise in the job.
What would you do if you thought someone in your team wasn't pulling their weight
What do you think are your strengths as an employee - what would you bring to this team
It really does depend on the job...
i recently got asked about somebody who inspired me, why i wanted to work for that company, how I perceived the reputation of the company in the market, what I could bring to the company, what motivates me with examples of where I have been successful / motivated. As Lillabet said though it will depend on the job but there are a number of questions that are good for seeing how the candidate thinks and reacts whcih are not specific to the job, good luck!
