I was just trying to work out when i first used a computer, I remember visiting a girl i had been at school with in 1977 just before i got married . Her Boyfriend was at her flat (above the Post Office on Lords St Southport). he had set up his computer to repeatedly write across the green screen 'hello dot' . i remember spending a while checkinmg it out and it was pre-windows and so just the old type, can't even remember what they were called but the discs were about 5inches square and not as rigid as the floppy disc.

My friend married her BF later that year and he went on to make millions in computer programming, he lives in Miami now , she is remarried and lives in Cumbria.

hi just came in from work ,i know i must look a bit sad where computers are concerned, my daughter showed me how to get started only my fingers used to stick to the kkkkkkkkkks i mean keys, and i never could send a message but i just touch every thing and hope for the best!!! not doing too bad thanks for reply nice to meet you all.

I'm the only one up it seems and have the site to meeself! This often happens and abers must now know I have an obsession of holding the 'recent posts'. But I dont have to work till noon 2moro/today - whatever.
