Central Heating
I'm considering buying a house that will need central heating installing. It is an average size 3 bed, Edwardian semi with approx 10 radiators needed. No room is bigger than 13" x 12". It currently just has gas heaters. Can anyone give me a ballpark figure on this and an idea of what installing cental heating actually involves? As you can tell this is a new territory for me!
Thanks Lulu

How many external walls each room has. What each room is used for eg bedroom, living room etc. Also, is it to heat a hot water cylinder?
Whats involved? Taking up of floorboards/carpet etc if necessary for installation of pipework.
This would definitely be a job best done before you move in. It would also be quicker (and cheaper) this way because installation will be quicker (no furniture to move or possibly carpets to take up and re-lay etc.
Hi Galena1, the details are as follows:
11'9 x 13'4 lounge - 2 exterior walls, 12'3 x 13'4 dining - 1 exterior wall, 9'4 x 8'4 kitchen - 1 exterior wall, Bedrooms 11,9 x 13,4 - 2 exterior walls 12'4 x 10,6 and 9'3 x 8'4 - 1 exterior wall 7'5 x 8'4 bathroom - 2 exterior walls Sorry I don't know the height but higher than a modern house. It would also heat a cylinder.
How is it installed if the floors are concrete? Will than be a problem?
Thanks in advance for your help
