I have a 30-year-old gas boiler with a rating of 35,000 BTU. Can anyone tell me how that rating translates to KW? Thanks.

Divide Btu by 3414 to give Kw.
Therefore: 35,000/3414=10.25
35,000 BTU is equivalent to 10.25kW-Hour.

You need to be aware that sometimes the ratings are for total energy in, and therefore your actual energy out, may be slightly less.
Not slightly less on a 30 year old boiler - considerably less - probably around 70% efficient.
