Boy cats
3 Answers
This may seem like a weird question - but I am confused.
Frankie is a boy cat and when he uses the litter tray he wees backwards. He isn't shy about using the tray and it is in the bathroom so I know that to have made the enormous wet splash at the side of the tray he would have had to wee backwards.
How do they do this?

However, tomcats will still stand with their back to a tree or anything else that interested them, when they are outside the house, tail straight up in the air, and wee in spurts, which is called spraying. It sounds as if Frankie likes to use the litter tray, but is probably only half squating so that the spray of wee hits the side of the tray. See if you can catch sight of him relieving himself outside, I don't think you would be successful at watching him in the tray, because cats object to being watched in their private moments. Hope this helps clear up the mystery. :-) Schutz.
