Why does the guitarist in linkin park always have headphones on?

The band play very complex mixes of their songs, with a lot of samples, which various members trigger with pedals and so on. If he received the entire mix, the confusion would mean he would miss cues, so he probably has selected parts of the music in his headphones, and maybe audible cues for samples to be brought in, to keep everything working as it should.

......don't know if andy has the definite version of events there but I have dodgy hearing after years of Dj'ing and playing in bands and one band I played in had a keyboard player who would routinely drown everyone else out....I took to trying headphones from my own amp with a volume control in the way just to try and hear my own guitar but found this didn't help with the vocals (and boy did they need all the help they could get)....could be a mix of the reasons above.

its his Trade Mark There is no real reson in Music Videos thay mime to the music. and if you notes in most of lps videos there is no cords pluged in to his head phones
