what is the difference between red and pink salmon sold in cans

One's pink, the other's red.

I can definitely tell the diff when its canned. The red has a finer texture and a more complex flavour.

Just come back from Alaska - there are 5 main types of salmon caught there.
Sockeye , chum , pink , king , coho.
Cant remenber the order but Sockeye is apparently the best.
Farmed salmon is becoming increasingly rare there due to some changes in the law.
