Depends on the type of bacteria ingested.
Symptoms would be stomach and bowel pain followed by vomiting and diarrhoea.Onset can be fairly rapid but can take up to 8 hours or more

There isn't much you can do if you have got food poisoning other than keep hydrated by drinking plenty of clear fluids,avoid alcohol and get as much rest as possible.

Also,make sure you wash your hands after every toilet visit to prevent passing the bug around....everyone should do this anyway but it is particularly important if you suspect you have food poisoning.

Best thing is to get it out of your system, not nice but let it get itself out.

Avaid sweet sugary things until any runs have stopped.
