No,Knowledge, you could dip them in your pint :P
Just another slant on the government to get us to drink less. We ALL know the yeast ferments sugar to alcohol with hardly any residual calories.

As alcohol retards blood/sugar levels. We tend to eat crap after a few drinks to combat this. The stuff we eat is far more dangerous to our waistlines than the actual booze.

Kebab anyone?
At least 500 calories in a bottle of red wine.

I thought this was common knowledge and why vodka is popular - it has relatively few calories.

You only have to look at all the beer bellies to know alcohol is high in calories.
Have you got an O level in stating the bleeding obvious then our Efff's?
No, knobs. A master's degree in it.

Booldawg everyone craves pizza kebab or chinese after a bevvy don't they :P

Hi Ethel, yes I and most of my friends could give you a run down on the calorific content of most alcoholic beverages courtesy of slimming clubs!
Its all in proportion Ethel. A bottle of red wine = 500 calories; dancing to the entire 'Now Thats What I Call Music' collection vols. 4-9 = 2500 calories.
That's why I stick to the vodka!!

Booldawg are ye dancin' ;)

Hey Jan xx, vodka and soda water with a twist of lime, :P
I'm dancin'.....D'ye want a wee umbrella wi' that voddy hays?
Booldawg - that would be roughly 10 hours non-stop dancing. Fine if it takes you 10 hours to drink one bottle of wine.
