What exactly is a gibberellin? what does it do? and please tell me everything you know!!!!!

Its a hormone that regulates the growth in plants.
Type 'gibberelin' in any searchengine and you get more info thanyou could possibly hope for.
From my 'A' level Biology I remember that there is an article about Gibberelin/Gibberelic Acid in the text book 'Biology - A Functional Approach' by Michael Roberts. Apparently an excess of the hormone causes cabbages & other plants to 'bolt.' I have the book at home so can add more later if you wish.
