hi, my sister has recently started a new job in childcare, she gets all school holidays off, but her contract states how many paid holiday days she gets, but how can i clarify the number quoted, as she works a 4 day week, so id be gratefull if anyone can point me in the direction that states how many paid days holiday she should get from working a 4 day week

If she worked 5 days a week, all year, she would get the minimum (which has just increased) of 28 days paid holiday. So pro rata this number.
BigDogsWang is right, although it is worth pointing out that the 28 days includes public/bank holidays. So your sister should get at least 4/5ths of that- which without a calculator I think is 22.4 days (including bank holidays).
