Susie's homecoming was short lived. She took a turn for the worse this morning. She was very disorientated and not really aware of her surroundings. I had to take the decision for her that she had had enough. The vet came here and she fell asleep for the last time in my arms in her own home. I feel incredibly sad but I know I did the right thing for her.
Thank you for all the comfort and kind words in my previous post, it was very much appreciated. Wendyxx
R.I.P Susie. Meg, I feel so sad for you. You've been so much on my mind since Susie came home. You have done everything right, and everything you possibly could have done for Susie. For her to fall asleep in the comfort of your arms made her passing peaceful, and I'm sure that will be a comfort to you in the days to come. I'll be thinking of you. love Schutz.
Strange though it may sound I am glad. The pain and suffering for Susie is over and you will no longer be anxious and watching her all the time.
Once you make the decision to let them go it is as if a huge weight is taken off your shoulder.
I wish you well for the future - take your time to grief. Hopefully I have many years of smashed ornaments, barfed up fur balls, claws being dragged down woodwork and sibling punch ups during the night.
You need a sense of humour to live with and love a furry friend.

So sorry for your loss, but she is at peace now over Rainbow Bridge.Good times will come to you without the tears meg, I'm sure you did what was best for her.g.
So sorry this happened so quickly and you didn't have more time with her, but please take comfort in the good times you had and don't feel bad about easing her pain and suffering
Thanks to all of you, Wolf you are so right, the last week has been a roller coaster, lurching from hope to despair. I know she is at peace now. Thank you all, Wendyxx
Very sorry to hear about Susie after her struggle. We went through the same thing with ours, and he now lies peacefully beneath a Rowan tree. Whenever it fills up with beautiful red berries, I smile to myself, knowing that a very small part of him's within them somewhere.
I'm sure you'll have many happy memories as we do. x
So sorry to hear the news. As others have said, it is a weight off your shoulders once you make that decision, it's just so darn hard to make it though. R.I.P. Susie
Really sorry to hear your news - it's a decision no pet lover wants to have to take but so often one which we have to. Susie was obviously well loved and you have taken the right decision for her, bless her old heart. She can suffer no more now.
