Have you ever wondered why women have so may bottles of potions and lotions in the bathroom compared to many men's aftershave and deoderant? You have to take care to moisturise your skin to replace the natural oils that the skin loses if you wash too frequently but i don't think that once a day is excessive unless you use very harsh soaps. If your still worried then use a very mild cleanser and after you wash use a good quality moisturiser on your skin.
Many years ago I was advised by my doctor that taking a bath every day ( or shower ) was not beneficial and actually caused a lot of problems ( in women, anyway). Apparently even with using moisturisers etc. the skin is being stripped of its naturally protective oils and leaves the bodies defences wide open to many infections.
An alternative perspective: showering everyday is beneficial as it cleanses your aura of all the negative and distrubing vibes you've picked up during the day. (This is supposedly the reason we feel a little light headed when we come out of a shower -the stripping of bits and pieces of energy that had been taken up during the day). Apparantly, a soak bath isnt quite so effective. The aura can also be cleansed to a certain degree by walking outdoors in a fresh breeze. I shall now take my mystic-self and disappear.
Yes I read it in a book, who's name I dont remember. Ive just spent half an hour trying to search for the source but havent found it. The chapter of the book however was "The Forgotten Rainbow" in which the author (who's name for the life of me I cant recall) discusses the effects of colour therapy on various ailments. The bit on the aura was a sub-text, but it was there. You can do a search on the topic for yourself or have a look at this page I found:
Thanks for the info. beenee. I have dabbled in alternative, new agey things for quite a few years and have had several "unusual" experiences. However, there is a lot of bull***t in this area so, while I like to keep an open mind, I have learnt to be a little sceptical. Just because someone says it or writes it in a book, it doesn't make it true even though they may believe it themselves. Showering does make me feel good but, as to whether that's anything to do with my aura, I will stay a "don't know". Interesting website, by the way. Sorry, mickryan for deviating from your question a bit!
