my mums got a bitch and she was due to be spayed but the day before she came into her first season and the vets said they wouldnt carry it out she is only 9 months old and a dog wondering the area jumped over her garden fence and cort her but when she went out to chase it away they were already tied and it was to late we saw the owner walking the dog and had ago at her for not keeping her dog on a lead or under control around a busy area and the lady told us that he was only 7 1/2 months old so she probly wouldnt be pregnant!
is there a chance she could be pregnant? it was only 3 weeks ago so she has no signs yet
and are there any dangers of her having the pups (if she is pregnant) at such a young age??
my mum is realy worried in case there is she dont want to have them aborted as she thinks this is a realy horrible thing to do but if there is any danger to her then she will get it done,
i dont understand why people dont keep their dog on a lead unless its in a secluded area then there would be alot less accidents of this happening my mum is furiouse about this and im trying to help her as much as possible but its hard as i also have a bitch to look after and she has been spayed, my mum has started to feed her a bit more just incase she is
any advice would be grate

If your sister breeds dogs then why not ask her for advice?

because my sister has never bred a bitch this young she always waits till they are 3yrs old
There is every possibility she is pregnant, age is no barrier for either dog or bitch. The vet could have given her an injection to stop any pregnancy had she been taken within 48 hours but it is too late now. She could be aborted and spayed, but to be honest that is more dangerous and traumatic than letting her have the puppies.

No need to feed her any more until about the last week (nine weeks pregnancy) unless she is really thin. Good quality food, and split the meals up to three a day when she gets near whelping so she does not feel bloated.

Arrange to have her spayed when the pups have been weaned.
is this u caroline if so ull know that im ur sis ignore that piece of crap she is fine shes had 12 pups now i told u she wold b fine but just a bit young
