Just looking through tonights (Sunday) Tosh TV guide, and WOW - could hardly contain my excitement. 9.00 channel 4, highlights (highlights ?) of yesterday's action (action ?) from the Big Brother house. And then joy oh joy, at 10.30 on ITV 1, a look back at the events (events ?) from Celebrity Love Island, my evening was complete.

What a load of ***kin' drivel, TV made by the mindless for the mindless, assuming anyone actually watches it that is. Any more views on 'Tosh TV' ?

I agree with you entirely. Most TV is made by accountants these days, it doesn't matter what the content is as long as it's cheap to make.

What concerns me is that the millions of half wits that watch this mind numbing drivel get to vote in general elections.

I see the Hitchcock "North by Nortwest" is being shown later today on Ch5. I know it was not made by a tv company, and is cheap to show (justly said Mortatube!) but it's a cracking film - look out for low flying crop dusters!

Some tv productions are well done and worth watching, but it is all a mater of taste. For example, there are those who see "Dr. Who" as a waste, but gather round for more of "Easteners"; and others who like both.

The holy grail of tv companies is "Audience Research" and if the schedules are 40% drivel, then they become pleasntly surprised (orgasmic?) when their research shows that during drivel time in the schedules, people are watching drivel. Woohoo! let's make lots more and satisfy the "demand"! More fool them for believing their own hyperbole.

mattk I am not a "drone" I can't understand why you're complaining about something you don't watch anyway. Rent a video, go out ,listen to the radio, read a book, go for a walk-watching TV ISN'T COMPULSORY.

I'm not complaining. the appalling quality of TV nowadays has actually tepmted me to get a life. there's the odd good show if i actually do really fancy watching telly and chilling out. I've been reasdinga lot more since big brother started as well
