Running a red light

Hi,
Unfortunately today whilst driving in to work i have been caught by a roadside flash unit going through a red light.
What can i expect?

I just googled "penalty for going through a red light" and it said 3 points and a minimum of �60 fine.
But sometimes there's no film in the camera when it flashes.

the ones that bluesman is talking about are very new and there are not many about. they do not flash because they use infra red

Bluesman, cameras do indeed have flim in them.
It is an actual roll of film that has to be physically removed from the camera itself. It is sent ot the lab fopr processing and is only then loaded into a computer

If you have been flashed then it is a film camera you have been caught by, not an infra red one which, BTW, cost 30k a piece and is why they are not used nationaly

Everything possible I hope you moron! I hate you using the word "unfortunately" because it suggests you have done this before and not at camera enabled lights. and got away with it.
You are probably a regular tailgater , ignorer of speed limits and all other road regulations. Furthermore your actions could have resulted in a serious collision.
You commit an offence that could put life and limb at risk and then come on here wimpering about what you might cop for. Well don't worry it's not a hanging offence but I hope you never do it again!

I have noticed that there seems to be more and more people trying to get across red lights!!

Is it some sort of canker that is spreading throughout the land??

where will it all end?
