Nobody has answerd my Technology query, but luckily I have sorted it out by myself.

Hi sqad...yes,I noticed that you too had gone empty-handed in Technology...maybe you should also get the fishnets out........mwaahahahaa!!!

has CARABINT caught his breath yet???
I actually have not got a clue why it would do that, I'm assuming you are using hotmail?

The only time I ever see that message is if I try and close a page before sending a mail, I've never seen that message appear when I click send.

Hi chuck....I had an answer from tamborine...she said that as sendis above to in the address bar....maybe the cursar 'bounces' down.......hmmmm?
A little investigation and it looks like a couple of people have come across the same problem and it was caused by HTML code in their signatures.

if you have a signature setup try removing that and see if it helps, I'd also give it a go in a different browser (firefox?) and see if the problem still occurs.

how would the browser affect hotmail?
how would the browser effect hotmail

errr, what do you use to view/access hotmail?
Oooooooooops - didn't see Q directed at techies; sorry great ones. deep bow
agree the browser gives access to ISP but hotmail remains same thru any browser.
Question Author
errr.....what's a 'signature setup'??......

showing my complete ignorance here.
hmm, well if you don't know what a signature is then you probably haven't got one.

all it is is a automatic footer that is put on the bottom of all your mails, for example I have my work email setup so it automatically put "regards Mark ******* etc etc" on the bottom of all mails.

I'd still give it a go in another browser though.
Question Author
I only use my emails as a social contact...not business.....so no-I guess I wouldn't have it.
I use IE...whereas the friend who has the same problem uses Firefox.......
