On my old Windows 98 computer I used Familytreemaker.  Now I've got a new computer with Windows XP which doesn't suppor tmy old version, so I'd like to buy a new program.  Does anybody have any recommendations for a good genealogy program - preferably one that's UK friendly (my old one was rather US-centric).

I use RootsMagic (UK Edition):

It did well in ComputerActive magazine's comparison of genealogy software last year.

I have XP and use Family Tree Maker 2005 and think its great, I don't find that it is too US-biased at all.

I have tried one or two different programs and find this the best, although I haven't tried the one mentioned above.
