Old Black & White Movie

I am trying to find out the name of a movie that used to be on TV about 30 years ago. It was one of those that used to come on TV 2-3 times a month and I always stayed up to watch it, it started off showing an old house with a For Sale sign in front of it. It played scary but kinda funny creepy music in the intro kind of like Addams family type. The movie was about the house and the family, there were multiple ghosts living in the house the one I remeber the most was a french maid and a butler type who was always chasing her. It was a scary/comedy type like arsenic & old lace. Please if anyone has any idea the name or any details about it at all I would appreciate it. It has been bothering me for 25+ years.

I dont know if this was a made for tv movie or just a movie they showed on TV or what but it was on quite a bit late at night and it was not a Series it was just a movie about an hour or so long.

Google "Ghosts of Motley Hall" Bandit..I reckon hopalong is right. Plenty of info and pics on there.

It could be I guess.  I looked it up in Google, it does not look familiar and the one I saw was always exactly the same and it was like 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours so I think it was a movie.  Was this "Ghost of Motley Hall" played in the U.S I just noticed that I was on a UK site.  I hadnt noticed that before, sorry

Dont know why, but have seen this film, as its quite old, look up Rex Harrison or Margaret Rutherford I am sure, one of these was in it.
