I also went for one that has a soft pillow top to help with some moulding to my body shape. I have had a bad back for 11 years & have always thought that a firm mattress was best for me. Not so, I have made the right choice changing to medium firm.
Have you a physio that you could ask??

I think we also did some reasearch on the web too...
guaranteed fo 15 years and cost about 250-300
How bad is your back problems? Sealy is one of the best you can buy in the high street. My hubby always have a back problem and now he can get a good night sleep after we bought a Sealy. I found it a bit hard at first but it does help backaches. Then is the miracoil from Silentnight, I recently bought the firm mattress for the kids cause I thought it will do their spine good, they kids loved it. I bought medium firm for the guest room, I thought that was comfy but a bit soft after been sleeping on a firm mattress, need getting use to at first.
How much are you thinking about spending?
The Sealy divan costing 750 for a kingsize, but they start at about 500 for a king. It should be less for mattress only. The Silentnight "mattress"cost around 150 for single. My parents always have Sealy beds, they wont have nothing else.
You can always try them out in a bed shop and compare prices on the net for best price.
Hope this help!
