Would you go on a Holiday or a Break alone?
So the wife's going to Spain with my in laws to see their relatives next week. I unfortunately cannot go due to work commitments however I have that Wednesday off to be free and to do whatever I want! I was thinking of going on a little break myself as everyone I know are pre-occupied that day. I'm pretty tempted to drive somewhere maybe to the New Forest to ramble about, good idea?
But my main question is would you go on a Holiday or a Break alone? I never did it personally, but almost every time I go abroad I see a lot of people comfortable do it of all ages even people in their 20s like me.

As well, it's nice to chat over a drink and a meal about what you've seen, your thoughts etc
However, I'd gladly go on a rambling weekend on my own cos there's nothing worse than having to go at someone else's pace.

I always go on holiday on my own now, I have been all over the world - New York, Canada, Turkey etc etc. This year I'm hoping to tour Scotland on my own.
I have plenty of friends, but I think it is better to go solo because you can do what you want when you want and there are no worries about upsetting a companion.

I have been on holiday alone - I love it no compromising!!
I've been to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam on my own - causing my mum to have a heart attack and say I'd be mugged and raped and then murdered. Just before I set off she said I hope you don't find someone and marry them and stay there. my reply was abit difficutl if I've been murdered!!
I always take a book when I'm eating in a restaurant if I'm alone as it wards off unwanted attention!!!
It'sd been a few years since I've gone away alone now though but when the children are older I'll be off as my husband likes to fish!!!

I am in my 50s and always have a week away by myself. Love my husband of 34 years to bits but he doesn't do sun and I do . Started about 8 years ago when I took my 16 year daughter away and realised that I had spent most of week alone and enjoyed it. Wouldn't go away with a companion as I like to do my own thing.
